This turnkey solution included engineering of new ADA compliant and brand specific light fixtures, removal of existing lighting, and installation of new lighting bodies including external walkways, pool areas, SPA, all major public venues and corridors.

For this turnkey solution 6 independent automation turbine wet washing systems were installed. Turbo wash system supplies pressurised air and water during the washing cycle specified by the manufacturer which ensures prolonged service life of onboard turbo chargers. Turbo wash system was integrated with the ship's remote monitoring system, and its operation can be supervised from the shore side central office.

TMS successfully installed a complete AtmosAir solution for air purification. Ionizers were added throughout the entire ship, covering all public areas and passenger cabins. This turnkey solution included a distributed air quality monitoring system and all required cabling.

TMS successfully installed new and automated existing external weather tight doors (sliding & swing) to meet ADA requirements onboard HAL Westerdam cruise ship. This turnkey solution included removal of existing doors and interior adaptation of surrounding accessible routes.

TMS removed the existing batteries, cabinet, frame, all obsolete cabling and other materials. A new pedestal was welded in place, a new frame moved into the room, batteries, transformers and cable were then installed. The new system was tested and certified. As the system is for the emergency lighting, TMS was required to complete and certify the system during the dry dock.

TMS archived many light and dimming systems upgrade for public areas. We completely redesign the electric circuit in accordance of architects or interiors contractors that fit on new layout of area. We supply high quality LED light and dimming racks.

HVAC is an important system for cruise ships. In marine environments, safe and healthy conditions are regulated with respect to temperature and humidity and quality of air. TMS installed thousands of Frequency Drivers for AC Ventilation to optimize and keep the public area cool and save energy and fuel.

TMS installed numerous variable frequency drives across the Holland America fleet’s HVAC systems. The use of variable frequency drives on HVAC optimizes energy use and saves fuel.

TMS was contracted pull CAT6 cable, terminate the cable, install CCTV cameras across the vessels, test and commission the CCTV system.

The Engine Room Ventilation is a point of reference for create an environment ventilated and balanced, our system consist to apply the frequency driver at all fans relative the engine room, and other technical space where the operators and the devices are need to recharge the air. All rooms are locally controlled by the pressure meter and thermometer sensors, and in some case we will measure the quality air too. Our system is called ERVES (Engine Room Ventilation Energy Saving) All information is collected in a monitoring system, and the other signals will be integrated with the existing ship automation. The monitoring system helps the operators to understand which is the state of the unit, the trend and the health of the entire system, a friendly graphic interface follows all operations suitable on demand.

TMS installed our ERV (engine room ventilation) system, including a user-friendly interface and variable frequency drives on several Holland America vessels. Our system monitors pressure, temperature and quality to maintain optimum air conditions.

Seabourn and Holland America

TMS installed our SFOC (Specific Fuel Oil Consumption) system on many Holland America vessels. Our system calculates oil consumption and shares the information via the ship’s automation system.

The system consists in a calculation of the effective oil consumption, through a delicate process where it takes care about the environmental condition of the engine room. All the data are intrinsically collected on a processor and merged on the ship automation. From here, all information may be shared using the net.

OCES (Onboard Cooling Energy Saving) systems have been installed by TMS on several Holland America vessels. Our system utilizes chilled water and variable frequency drives to monitor the pressure and temperature of HVAC system. Operators can then control the use of fuel much more effectively.

OCES (Onboard Cooling Energy Saving) as a TMS application, consists of the control of the chilly water flow in base to calculate the request on the HVAC stations (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) spread in all zone of the ship.

With the installation of an appropriate drive on the chiller pumps, and an adequate monitoring control on pipes as pressure and temperature of the source connected at an PLC (Process Loop Control) we have a result of increasing energy saving and reducing mechanical wearing on the equipment. The complete system its figured on on HMI (Human Interface Machine) system to help the operator to carry out all needed action.

To assist guests in more effective in-cabin device charging TMS installed multiple USB outlets in each cabin. We replaced power outlets with dual USB outlets and added additional USB outlets as needed. All work was completed by TMS staff, from cutting holes in the furniture, to electrical connections.

All the head-end equipment was replaced, new call station cables pulled and distribution network measurements completed without service interruption. Also, end of line monitoring cards were installed in various distribution junction boxes in order to enhance monitoring of the entire system.

On several Holland America Line and Disney Cruise Line ships we disconnected, saved old wiring, dismantled and installed new UPS units. Included in the scope were the installation of new base frames, connections and assistance in commissioning. Concurrently, we revamped the ventilation around the UPS units, if needed, due to the different size of the new UPS units.

Units ranged from 5 KVA to 300 KVA. TMS can manage these type projects in dry dock or in service.

Holland America fleet

Working with the content provider, Second Story, the customer and other contractors, we created a valuable system in a stunning space. TMS completed all of the electrical, A/V, and system controls in the venue quickly and efficiently. Despite the changes and challenges it was a great project. Passengers can now enjoy this amazing venue and ship’s technicians have the ability to control the entire show by a simple touch panel interface.

When Holland America Line wanted to convert an underutilized space to an intimate onboard concert hall for high caliber programs, they reached out to TMS to do the sound and lighting. We considered the position and composition of the performers and the audience in order to make it simple for the performers to use and change both sound and lighting for each performance. The area is a great addition and has been received with high praise.

TMS installed a weather station onboard Holland America vessel to collect data for potential fuel savings. Data is shared via the vessel’s automation system.

TMS collaborated with Croon Holland on 21 ADG and Back up Switchboard installations. We provided cables and accessories, installed and connected the switchboards and assisted at commissioning. Projects were completed both in service and dry dock. All 21 projects were completed within 3 years and delivered on time.
